Coalition of Carers in Scotland
The Coalition of Carers in Scotland was established in 1998 by a group of carers and staff from carer support organisations who wanted to strengthen the voice of carers in Scotland.
Our aim is to improve carers’ rights and recognition in Scotland, and we do this through:
Regular meetings that bring carers and key decision makers together to discuss issues affecting carers in Scotland
Engagement work and campaigning for better rights, support and recognition for carers in Scotland
Responding to enquiries from carers and organisations about carer policy and practice
Our members receive regular information about our campaigns and consultation events that they can contribute to. Membership is open to all carers and organisations that support carers. It is free to become a member if you are a carer, and a voluntary affiliation fee for organisations that support carers.
Information about support for unpaid carers and on carers rights is also available on our website.
