Govanhill Community Development Trust (GCDT)

Govanhill Community Development Trust (GCDT) is a subsidiary of Govanhill Housing Association, established to develop physical, social, economic and environmental regeneration initiatives additional to the mainstream housing development programmes in the Govanhill area.

Projects include:

Employability - GCDT is working in partnership with a range of organisations to provide support for local people to access jobs, training, work placements and volunteering
Cost of Living - Workers can support local people to reduce household costs, increase household income and develop budgeting and household management skills
Community Support Centre - Our Support Centre at 192 Allison Street can provide help and assistance on weekdays
Synthesia Multi-Lingual Video Project - using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to produce information videos presented by digital avatars to support residents learn about their rights in relation to education, employment, health and housing
