Social Inclusion Services

Many people living with a sensory loss become socially isolated as getting out and about, communicating with others and getting information about activities can be difficult. NESS’s Social Inclusion service is aimed at people who are socially isolated due to their sensory loss.

We run inclusive activities and social groups/clubs in Aberdeen and Moray, supporting people living with significant sensory loss to improve their quality of life by being active participants. We are also developing short term activities and classes for all adults with a sensory loss which focus on inclusion, health and well-being. These will be advertised as they become available. This includes a weekly (during term time) yoga class in Aberdeen.

We have a small group of volunteer drivers who enable people to access the activities. We have eligibility criteria which people must meet to be able to access this service.
