QuEST

Queer Equality Support Team (QuEST) supports LGBT+ children and young people, up to 18 years old, across Aberdeenshire. Our LGBT+ Inclusion Advisors (LIA) will visit young people in their local area to provide:

1-2-1 support

Safe space for young people of the LGBT+ community to come to talk with an LIA in a non-judgmental environment.

Email support

We offer a fast, response service where you can contact us for advice & information about topics like homophobia, struggling with coming out or someone being isolated because of their identity.

Awareness sessions for young people

These sessions will help educate young people about some LGBT+ terminology and explain the differences between them. They will teach about homophobia and its impact on the LGBT+ community.

Training for school staff

This training will help you to get an understanding of the ever-changing world of the LGBT+ community, issues that affect the community and how to work more knowledgeably and sensitively with LGBT+ people.
