Passing the Baton Befriending

Passing the Baton is Bethany’s befriending service in Edinburgh for anyone who has been homeless or is at risk of homelessness now.

If you are moving on from temporary accommodation into your own tenancy then you can be referred to Passing the Baton to have a volunteer befriender.

Befrienders meet with people for 1.5 – 2 hours every week or fortnight, over a period of 2-12 months. This could include meeting for a coffee, chatting on the phone or going for a walk and connecting with others through gyms, creative classes and support groups.
