Edinburgh & Lothian Council on Alcohol (ECLA)

ELCA services are open to anyone over the age of 18 who is worried about their own or someone else’s drinking.  Trained counsellors provide advice, information, and counselling. 

ELCA accepts self and formal referrals and all referrals are administered through its main office in Edinburgh. 

East Lothian residents can access ELCA's services at The Esk Centre in Musselburgh and Dunbar Medical Centre. We can offer either face to face counselling or, if more suitable, telephone/online counselling.

ELCA runs a Women’s Alcohol Recovery group on a Thursday morning from 10.45 to 12.15 in our main office in Edinburgh.  The group is open to anyone who resides in Edinburgh, East and Midlothian.
