Parent Pathways

RNIB, the Royal National Institute of Blind People, is the UK's leading sight loss charity. We offer practical and emotional support to blind and partially sighted people, their families and carers.

Parent Pathways is a free and informal service for parents and carers whose child has recently been diagnosed with vision impairment, or who want to find out more about the support available.

Parent Pathways is a safe and supportive space for you and a small group of other parents and carers to:

learn about a range of topics on parenting a child with vision impairment
discuss some of the important questions that you might have
share experiences and understanding with others in a similar situation

Parent Pathways First Steps courses are open to parents and carers of children aged 0 to 25 across the UK. New courses run throughout the year and take place over two consecutive weeks on Microsoft Teams.
