Falkirk Supporting Your Recovery

Our service can offer support from a volunteer for individuals returning home following a period in hospital or a significant medical intervention. Our volunteers can provide support for a period of around 12 weeks.

They will engage with individuals to develop a friendly & supportive relationship. The service we provide depends on the individual's needs & aims , but might be telephone or face to face support, help with seated exercises or mobility practice, social re-engagement, l community engagement or other sources of support or activities.

The aims are to improve independence, increase confidence, lower feelings of isolation & generally to reduce the likelihood of hospital readmission.
