Creative Steps
Creative Steps is a free, three-step programme for those over the age of 18. Built around the importance of creativity to better mental health and wellbeing, across the programme's three steps, arts-based activities are used to facilitate peer-support. Those who attend our classes and regular community groups report feeling more confident, better connected socially, and with a brighter outlook on life.
Step 1 consists of arts classes in health care settings. Run across locations in the south of Glasgow, these free classes last for 6-8 weeks.
Step 2 art groups in the community. Run from our base on Govan Road, these weekly art groups allow members to access ongoing support in their community. All groups are free, led by an artist tutor, with no commitment to take part each week or for a set period of time. Groups last for two hours with a refreshment break.
Step 3 involved wider participation and volunteering in the community.
