Malls Mire Conservation Group

Malls Mire Community Woodland is a Local Nature Reserve in Toryglen. Urban Roots has worked with the community to improve the woodland for people and wildlife since 2009. Our Woodland Conservation Group carry out maintenance and habitat improvements using traditional methods such as scything and coppicing to manage the woodland and promote biodiversity.

The Malls Mire Conservation Group meet meet every Thursday at the Urban Roots Offices from 11am – 3pm. We always welcome new members and all you need to join in is a good pair of boots, warm waterproof clothing and a packed lunch.
