Walking Group

We currently offer a walking group at Drumpellier Country Park, just outside Coatbridge. This takes place every Saturday, and we meet at 12:30 next to the seats outside the visitor's centre. Our walking group has run since 2021 and was started as a way to connect while remaining COVID-friendly. It has now developed into a lovely meet-up, and the benefits for our mental and physical health are clear.

By getting out into the fresh air, walking at your own pace and ability (there are lots of seats to stop and rest on the route), there’s a definite sense of achievement in walking that 1-mile lap, and we bring along tea and coffee so we can sit and have a catch-up afterwards, and sometimes there’s even home baking! Everyone is welcome, kids and dogs too!
