Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) provides community-based and inpatient support to children and young people in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde who have significant difficulties with their mental health and wellbeing. These difficulties will be significantly affecting their daily life, getting in the way of going to school, doing their activities or socialising, or puts them at risk of harming themselves or others.
Service accepts referrals from staff who work with children and young people across agencies and provides care and support from mental health nurses, clinical psychologists, child and adolescent psychiatrists, family therapists, psychotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists as required.
