Kilmallie Community Fridge and Garden SCIO

Our charity collects food from local supermarkets to distribute through our community fridge, which is open 7 days a week within Kilmallie Community Centre. Through this we are reducing food waste in our area and supporting those in need.

We also have a community garden where volunteers can grow their own produce, with surplus going back into the fridge.

We educate the community on sustainable living and environmental issues through events, workshops, and training courses.

We aim to create community, combat social isolation, and teach about sustainable food systems and saving food waste, to help alleviate food insecurity and poverty, ultimately making our volunteers and community feel valued and empowered.
