Food Train

We provide a range of services, delivered by volunteers, to people 65+ including:

Shopping Delivery
Food Train’s shopping delivery service ensures that you have access to fresh and affordable groceries, delivered direct to your home on a weekly basis, or less often if that suits you. Our volunteers can unpack and put shopping items away where needed.

Support at Home
Food Train At Home volunteers can give you a helping hand with tidying your cupboards, watering your plants, changing your lightbulbs, vacuuming and various other odd jobs about the house. The price of a visit is always discussed with you in advance so you know exactly what it will cost.

Meal Makers
Your volunteer cook would bring round an extra portion of their freshly prepared, home cooked food as well as providing company and a friendly chat. Meal sharing occurs weekly on a day and time agreed by both.

Befriending
The service offers befriending on a one to one basis at home, going out for a coffee and a chat or a trip around the shops. It also offers access to group outings to share a lunch together, go to the cinema, visit a garden centre and other interesting things to do in your local area.
