Adult Social Work - East Fife

Adult Social Work Service East supports individuals aged 16-64 years who require social work intervention and live in the localities of Cupar and North East Fife, Levenmouth and Glenrothes. The service provides assessment in accordance with the Social Care (Self Directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013 and applies national Eligibility Criteria to ensure assessed needs and outcomes are met within the available resources of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership. Additionally Adult Social Work Service East undertakes interventions in accordance with legislation such as Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.

Fife Council Mental Health Officer Service is also managed within Adult Social Work Service East. The Mental Health Officer Service undertakes assessments in accordance with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995 and Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
