Stirling Technology Enabled Care Service

Technology Enabled Care Service (also known as MECS) responder service (community alarm service) and is part of the Clacks & Stirling HSCP to enable vulnerable people and their carers to call for assistance in an emergency at any time. In Stirling this includes volunteer responders or key holders will be contacted in the first instance to respond.

The service use a range of technology such as fall, gas,smoke senors,that can monitor the environment and alert family to any changes to the environment. Life syle monitoring systems can be used as part of an assessement.

The service can also supply various technology that enables people to stay safe at home or assist in the use of using indivduals own devises to make their home smart.

Older Adults

An initial assessment is carried out to identify if someone would benefit from the service and to ascertain which specific types of equipment would be suitable. We also work with individuals to use their own smart technology that they have in their homes e.g. (tablets, phones smart TV’s, Alexa or similar).
