Alzheimer Scotland Western Isles Services & Dementia Resource Centre

Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity who support people living with dementia, their careers, families and loved ones. The Brain Health & Dementia Resource Centre aims to support people with dementia, their families, relatives and friends at any stage of the illness, and the following support is on offer:

• information and advice
• information and awareness sessions
• activities for people with dementia and carers
• carer and peer support groups
• registered Daycare Service – SOLAS

For anyone who is unable to visit the Dementia Resource Centre/Office, our dementia advisors can also arrange to visit you at home or contact you via phone/text, email or skype.

We also have run a registered daycare service (SOLAS) which offers people living with dementia a safe and comfortable space to socialise, partake in therapeutic activities and pursue hobbies and interests supported by a dedicated and professional team. As Scotland’s National Charity for Dementia Alzheimer Scotland also offers a 24-hour Freephone Dementia Helpline which provides information, signposting and emotional support to people living with dementia, their families, friends and professionals which can be accessed by emailing helpline@alzscot.org or calling 0808 808 3000.
